Swiss Lathe Machining Processing Procedure

Step1 Drawing Review

Be familiar with the role and position of parts in the product, find out the key technical requirements, and confirm the material, size and tolerance requirements of parts.

- Analyze the marking method of part drawings. Swiss-type machines generally use a cutting knife to block the material and use this position as a mechanical reference point for mechanical processing. Therefore, the marking method on the part drawings should adapt to the characteristics of Swiss-type machine tool processing, and try to use the same reference to mark the dimensions or directly give the coordinate dimensions.

- Analyze the geometric elements of the part contour: calculate the coordinates of each node, or program directly, or use the blueprint direct programming method for programmability analysis.

- Analyze accuracy and technical requirements: Based on the analysis of part dimensional accuracy and surface roughness, correctly and reasonably select the processing method, clamping method, cutting tool and specific cutting parameters. It should be analyzed whether the dimensional accuracy, dimensional chain and various technical requirements are complete and reasonable. For those with position accuracy requirements, more attention should be paid to the selection of clamping methods or clamping positions.

- Analyze the processability of the part structure: Analyze the applicability of the part drawings to the processing method and the selected tool. The designed parts should be easy to process and form. The unreasonable places should be modified with the opinions of the designer.222.jpg

Step 2 Formulate processing procedures:

In order to ensure the processing quality of parts and use equipment reasonably, the processing procedures should be reasonably formulated based on the processability analysis of the part drawings. Without destroying the rigidity of the parts, the inner hole processing should be arranged before the outer circle processing. The processing stage can be divided into three stages: rough processing, semi-finishing and finishing according to needs.

- Confirm whether there is a main and secondary axis simultaneous processing stage, and confirm the clamping position of the secondary axis chuck. When making specific choices, the corresponding processing methods and processing plans should be selected according to the requirements of the accuracy and surface roughness of the parts, materials, structural shapes and other factors.

- Divide the processes, generally according to the principles of roughing first and then finishing, far first and then near, inside and outside intersection, and base surface first to formulate and arrange the processing route.444.jpg

Step 3 Select Machining Tools and Make Tools Layout:

- Select tools based on material properties, durability, wear resistance, easy chip breaking, etc.

- Determine spindle speed, feed rate, and specific cutting parameters based on actual processing experience and tool usage reference data.111.jpg

Step 4 Programming

- First, write the spindle program, and after confirming that it is correct, write the sub-spindle program. The program requirements for Swiss-type lathes are relatively sophisticated. Since there are many controlled axes and tools, it is possible to carry out complex processing such as simultaneous processing of eccentric rotary power tools and rotary tools, simultaneous processing of eccentric rotary power tools and power longitudinal cutting tools, simultaneous processing of sub-spindle rotary tools and pre-ID. tools of the spindle, spindle C-axis processing, synchronous movement and rotation of the main and sub-spindles, rigid tapping of the main and sub-spindles, compound control of the main and sub-spindles, and drilling of eccentric holes by the main and sub-spindles.未标题-1.jpg

- There are many issues to consider when programming, and the requirements are relatively comprehensive.
